Green Compaign

As Copenhagen summit is going on in Denmark, u will see newspapers full of the articles , news on climate change. Five days have been passd but nothing concrete has been decided. Discussion is on four pillers - Mitigation , Finance, adaptation and clean technology.

Mitigation u all know every nation is ready to do but to which limit is a question. India has unilaterly annouced to cut the emission intensity by 20-25 % at the level of 2005 by 2020. And expecting that it has to be reciprocated with the finances and technology from the developed nations. But the leakd Danish Paper just few day ago in copenhagen makes it clear the intention of developed world that Developing nations first cut emmisions at home and for which they will have to pay from their resources. After that developed world will give the money and technology. It is also not a matter of money and technology but only Money. Question will arise how?
see, developed nations can either transfer the technology under regulated concessional terms or pay incremental cost of such technologies. So,ultimately it is a Money issue.

Interestingly developed world are forcing developing world to take the cut in a big way and they will pay for it without cutting/ nominal cutting the emmisions. It means they will compensate their emmision emanant from their industries with the money to developing world for cutting the emmision. Also they are carring adamant stand that Kyoto Protocol must die and trying to draft a protocol in which every nation would be put at the same level to cut the emmision irrespective of the fact that how much Developed world have polluted the environment in the past to becoming industrilized/developed world and owing this our climat is endangoured.
Ultimately nothing would be done after Copenhagen as it was after Kyoto protocol. It may possible that some of the agreements get signed. but who will go on the path in true sence , no body knows.
Since we are the ultimate sufferer, we must do our bit.
