Movement of non-cooperation to CW Games 2010

As in my previous post on CWG i raised the concerns about the Quality of work and doubted the respective authorities to complete all CWG related work evenafter games end. It is now before all the countrymen. Mrs. Sheila Dixit has given a final deadline of 15 Sep 10 to finish all CWG work, before a fortnight from the date game has to start. Which looks impossible at the current pace of work, amount of work to complete, the weather conditions and foremost Corruption.
Our Delhi's Chief Minister Shiela Dixit is requesting all the delhities to support and chear the games connecting it with pride of the Nation. Why this situation came before her that she is on her knee requesting to all countrymen to pray to God to finish the work and successfully hosting the games. She had almost 6 years to complete the CWG work. Initially when CWG games were awarded to Delhi, Indins were feeling proud and were thinking to be at par with the developed nation. We were feeling that we will show the world ,like China did, that India can host big events of sports. But after spending a big chunk of exhequer, not on the work but to the Pockets of Babu's,officials and ministers, now the people were feeling the throe and cursing the Delhi Govt. for it. Even public is asking why are we hosting such a big event which is of no use? We are a nation where 40 % of the population is poor. I am not going deep into this.

Our sportsman has lost the opportunity of homeground. Can we expect Gold medals from them. NO!

I read an Article on CWG by Chetan Bhagat " PLEASE DONT'T CHEAR THE 2010 LOOT FEST" where he asked Delhities for "Non-Cooperation Movement of CWG" . It was really interesting article.
Excerpt is here:
The CWG 2010 is , by far, the biggest and most blatant, excercise in corruption in independent India's history. Not Only have they stolen public money, they have made a mess of the job at hand.

Calling it a great daylight robbery of 2010.

Enquiry reports, vague statements, tossing responsibility from one person to the other will continue, untill the games are over. After that, fingers crossed, people will forget. Bollywood stars will do the closing ceremony and the entertainment provided will somewhat compensate for the loot fest.
In the middle of all this, there will be propaganda campaigns to 'save India's image' and get the games done somehow. If we, the Indian people, support these games, it will be a big mistake. This is a golden chance for citizens to put this corrupt and insensitive government to shame. And the way to do it is simply what the father of our nation pioneered in his time-NON COOPERATION. Do not watch these games. Do not go to venues.

Not digestable this as we are at heart Indians which used to show off a good image to outer world. He really thinks in a different way. But Chetan made us remember the act of our politicians.

If they can walk out of the parliament, we can walk out of stadiums. After all we all Indians have been robbed at the same time.

Very true!. When our politicians walkout of the parliament, throw shoes, fight among themselves where the pride of the nation has gone, although they know that they are being watched by world.

Some might say, should't we suport the games on account of our country's pride?

Chetan Bhagat narrates a very good story related to Pride: "When i was a child, our neighbours were a violent man and his battered wife. The women would cover her bruise marks with make-up, suffering silently. Whenever we visited them, the couple presented the perfect picture of a happy couple. She even praised her husband. I asked my mother why the woman behaved in that way and did't exposed her husband to show him in his true colours. My mother told me it does not look nice to portray an unhappy home. She has to save the familiy pride.Over time, the bruises turned to fractures, and the fractures became near fatal injuries. Untill one day,Police cars and ambulance came in and took both husband and wife away respectively."

Yes, such is Indian Culture. The Organizers are the operssaive husband, the Indian people the battered wife.
